Terms of Use
Last updated: September 27, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) apply to your use of SubFormal.
SubFormal is operated by Olga Lipinskaya.
By using SubFormal, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
SubFormal is a platform for discovering and discussing job opportunities.
The service may change over time. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and the service may occasionally be unavailable or interrupted.
SubFormal may also discontinue the service. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of material changes or discontinuation.
2. Job opportunities
SubFormal displays information about job opportunities obtained from external sources.
Job listings may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, changed, or removed by the organization that published them.
SubFormal does not guarantee that a job opportunity is still available, that information in a listing is complete or accurate, or that an employer or other organization will respond to or accept an application.
You should verify important information with the relevant organization before relying on a job listing or submitting an application.
3. Applications and external websites
SubFormal may provide links to employers, organizations, job listings, application pages, or other third-party websites.
When you follow an external link, you leave SubFormal and interact directly with the relevant third party.
SubFormal does not process or make employment applications on behalf of employers and does not make hiring decisions.
Your interactions with third parties, including any information you submit to them, are subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and practices.
SubFormal is not responsible for the availability, content, security, or operation of third-party websites outside its reasonable control.
4. Your account
Some SubFormal features require an account.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account and for maintaining the security of credentials used to access SubFormal.
You must provide account information that you are entitled to use and must not impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity in a way that is unlawful or intended to deceive other users.
You may stop using SubFormal at any time and may request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Comments and user content
SubFormal allows signed-in users to post comments relating to job opportunities.
You remain responsible for comments and other content you submit to SubFormal.
You must not post content that:
- is unlawful;
- infringes another person's intellectual-property, privacy, or other legal rights;
- contains malicious code or is intended to interfere with the service;
- unlawfully discloses another person's personal, confidential, or sensitive information;
- impersonates another person or materially misrepresents its source; or
- constitutes spam or other abusive use of the service.
Comments you post on SubFormal are publicly visible. You should not post information that you do not want other users to see.
You retain any rights you have in content you submit.
By posting content publicly on SubFormal, you give SubFormal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and otherwise process that content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, provide, moderate, and maintain the service.
This license does not transfer ownership of your content to SubFormal.
6. Moderation
SubFormal may remove, restrict, or moderate comments or other user content where reasonably necessary to:
- enforce these Terms;
- address unlawful, abusive, misleading, or harmful content;
- protect users or third parties;
- protect the security or operation of the service; or
- comply with legal obligations.
SubFormal does not guarantee that all user content will be reviewed before or after publication.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user's account, data, or systems;
- interfere with or disrupt SubFormal or infrastructure used to provide the service;
- attempt to circumvent security or access controls;
- introduce malicious code or use SubFormal to harm the service or other users;
- use automated means to access or interact with SubFormal in a manner that places an unreasonable load on the service or circumvents technical restrictions; or
- use SubFormal in violation of applicable law.
8. Intellectual property
SubFormal and its software, interface, branding, and other service materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of SubFormal or its intellectual property to you.
Third-party content, organization names, trademarks, logos, and other materials displayed through SubFormal may belong to their respective owners.
Nothing in these Terms grants you rights in third-party materials beyond any rights provided by their respective owners or applicable law.
9. Accuracy and reliance
SubFormal provides information and discussion tools to help users discover and explore job opportunities.
Information available through SubFormal, including job listings and user comments, may contain errors, opinions, outdated information, or information originating from third parties.
You are responsible for evaluating information before relying on it.
SubFormal does not provide employment, recruitment, legal, immigration, financial, tax, or other professional advice.
10. Availability and warranties
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not promise that SubFormal will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every purpose, device, browser, or user.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, remedy, or other protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, SubFormal is not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms or that result from circumstances outside SubFormal's reasonable control.
SubFormal is not a party to the relationship between you and an employer, organization, recruiter, or other third party that you discover through the service.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including any liability or consumer rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. Suspension and termination
SubFormal may suspend or terminate access to an account or the service where reasonably necessary to:
- protect SubFormal, its users, or third parties;
- address misuse, fraud, abuse, or security risks;
- enforce these Terms; or
- comply with legal obligations.
Where reasonably practicable, SubFormal will provide notice before suspending or terminating access, unless immediate action is reasonably necessary for security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.
You may stop using SubFormal at any time.
You may request deletion of your account as described in the Privacy Policy.
13. Privacy
SubFormal's handling of personal data, account information, comments, and browser storage is described in the Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy also explains how to exercise applicable privacy rights and request deletion of your SubFormal account.
14. Free service and future paid features
SubFormal is currently provided free of charge.
We may introduce new features or change how the service is offered in the future, including by introducing optional paid features or plans.
We will not charge you without clearly informing you of the applicable price and obtaining any agreement or authorization required by applicable law.
Any paid features may be subject to additional or updated terms presented before you purchase or subscribe to them.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to SubFormal, legal or regulatory requirements, security needs, or other reasonable operational changes.
If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will take reasonable steps to notify you before the change takes effect where required by applicable law.
The “Last updated” date at the top of these Terms indicates when they were most recently revised.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory protections provided by the laws that would otherwise apply to you.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection law concerning where a dispute may be brought.
